We interviewed upper-elementary school students on how they interact with projects, tools, and content in the classroom. Many of them chose to speak on their interactions with others, reminding us that learning is social. A classroom should be many things, but first and foremost it should be a safe space for students to feel comfortable and engage with those around them.
In this episode, middle school students describe the expectations placed upon them by teachers, peers, and even sometimes themselves. They open up about their experiences with bullying and the search for courage in the classroom. To be seen is to be understood, and these students are no different.
